Being a mentor for WFWA is a great opportunity to give back and help writers at earlier stages in their publishing career. As a mentor, you will be paired with a writer who is looking for guidance as they navigate their journey to publication.
Only women's fiction manuscripts are considered for the mentorship program. If a mentee submits pages for a manuscript that is not WF, please notify the Mentorship Team Contact.
The following people can serve as mentors: Traditionally published authors - large/small press, independently published authors, agented authors, developmental editors (regardless of publication status), and book coaches (regardless of publication status).
The mentorship program lasts three months. During this period mentors provide positive and and constructive feedback in a variety of areas of the publications process as detailed below.
WFWA seeks to accommodate all writers, regardless of disability, and we will contact mentors if their prospective mentee requests accommodations due to disability.
Please fill it out as completely and honestly as possible to assist us in matching mentors and mentees.
