ASHE/ASCE Joint Meeting: April 22, 2019
The Fredericksburg Region is rapidly growing and with that, traffic and congestion are increasing along the I-95 corridor. To address the region's needs, there are several megaprojects under way. This includes the I-95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension, I-95 Northbound Rappahannock River Crossing and I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing - all of which are interrelated. The expected investment on these three projects is expected to total over $750 million. In addition, Fredericksburg District has been working with Maryland Transportation Authority on their upcoming Harry W. Nice Bridge replacement project.
Bill Arel, P.E. (Megaprojects Engineer) and Robert Ridgell, P.E. (Area Construction Engineer) from VDOT's Fredericksburg District will be discussing the ongoing megaprojects in the Fredericksburg region.
Sally Bell's Kitchen of Richmond, Virginia will cater our lunch. Sally Bell's is a family-owned business that has been serving boxed lunches to Richmonders since 1927.
RSVP using the form below. We hope to see all of you there!
Sincerely,
Your ASHE Old Dominion Section Board of Directors
