ALTA47 Annual Alexis Levitin Bilingual Reading Series Signup Form
ALTA's Bilingual Reading Series is your chance to share published or unpublished English translations with our supportive community!

In 2024, Bilingual Readings will be held in person only at ALTA47 in Milwaukee, WI from October 26-28, 2024. There are six 8-minute slots for each Bilingual Reading, which allows for brief transitions between readers. Reading slots are first-come, first-served. Please only sign up for one reading in 2024. You may read even if you are also on an ALTA47 panel (there are no limits on participation).

Select a theme that fits the work you plan to read. Signups are first-come, first-served, so if you get a slot, then your reading will automatically be programmed (in other words, you don't need to wait to hear from ALTA staff to know that your reading has been accepted)! Please only sign up if you plan to attend ALTA47.

All accepted readers must register for ALTA47. Visit our website for more information and registration pricing. Registration will open July 10, 2024.

We will endeavor to hold Cafe Latino at a cafe near the conference hotel, though this is not guaranteed.

NOTE: Translations are into English, and if the author is joining the translator, they should read from the same project. Authors must purchase their own ALTA47 registration. There are no virtual bilingual readings in 2024, and we do not have the capability to Zoom in participants.

DEADLINE to sign up: July 31, 2024, 11:59pm Pacific Time
