Civic Play Workshop Application Form
This exciting interactive workshop will draw on the past use of the Civic House site as a play park, reintroducing the activity of play back to this area through the medium of light.

Using creative coding to create responsive lighting sequences we will explore ways in which the space can be transformed into being a place of recreation and sanctuary once again. We will aim to improve the area of public realm, reinforcing the existing pedestrian and cycle links and, in doing so, have a positive impact on many journeys across the city.

Over the course of two days you will gain the coding skills to create a spatial and interactive site-specific light experience that we will then take outside and test in the Civic House exterior public space.


NB: No previous coding experience is required and laptops will be provided if required.
Participants must be 16 +

When: August 18 (10 AM to 6 PM) and August 19 (12 PM to 8.30 PM)
Where: Civic House, 26 Civic Street, G4 9RH

Application deadline is 10am on Monday 8 August 2022.  All applications will be reviewed at this point on equal terms, early applications will not be given preferential consideration.

We aim to notify you of a response by Weds 10 August.
