Jennifer León Salinas is an undocumented first-generation immigrant professional. She has become a bilingual, trauma-focused Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, who is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients in providing the individual with the appropriate skills necessary for them to live their authentic lives. Jennifer strongly focuses on exploring trauma through a liberation-focused and social justice lens further welcoming ancestral wisdom, community resourcing, and intergenerational/inner child work within a therapeutic relationship.
Through her Instagram platform she has formed a podcast-like series highlighting women of color in the field of psychology. Her Mujer series has increased visibility and united women of color in a field that is largely white-dominated. Jennifer has also been a guest in other Instragram lives where she speaks about topics revolving mental health, destigmatizing Latinx mental health and therapy, first-generation experience, undocumented experience and Femtorship.
Jennifer has been featured in Voyage magazine, a Spanish YouTube series highlighting Latinx women, and a 30-day Latinx wellness workshop.
