Ecotone Renewables Internship Application
This internship will run from August 15th, 2022 to December 15th, 2022 with the opportunity to continue beyond the internship in another employment capacity. Hours are flexible and self-scheduled for the program.

We are looking to fill intern positions for general maintenance and/or research of our anaerobic digestion “Seahorse” system. Preferred students pursuing college or trade-school degree. A means of transportation to and from the system is helpful. This work includes collaboration between team members, numerous local organizations including 412 Food Rescue, and community gardens.
In-person Internship (preferred):
• Trained to handle the basic mechanics of our system which sustainably processes local food waste
• Located at 7560 Roslyn Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15218
• Responsible for feeding and draining the system twice a week for a total of 4 hours per week
• Additional 6 hours devoted to skillset-dependent project (Fertilizer/Hydroponics Testing, Community Outreach, System Automation, Bioenergy Research, Sales/Marketing, App/Website Development, Supply Chain)
• Attend weekly team meeting
Virtual Internship:
• 10 hours devoted to skillset-dependent project (Fertilizer/Hydroponics Testing, Community Outreach, System Automation, Bioenergy Research, Sales/Marketing, App/Website Development)

As a Sales/Marketing intern, you will partake in a robust training program in which you will learn how to sell Ecotone’s product, Soil Sauce. Following training, interns will have the opportunity to hone their sales skills by selling Soil Sauce in a direct sales role, or to develop their marketing skills by promoting Ecotone’s brand on Socials and email marketing.
We have had success with past interns and have kept many of them on the team after their summer program ended. The opportunity to grow with Ecotone Renewables is a unique one so don’t miss out in getting involved while you can!
As an early-stage startup company, we cannot provide an hourly salary although we are happy to support school credit, grants, and commissions for this work.
