AERO is offering a 21 week self-learning racial equity in the food system "challenge" again for 2021. This year we are particularly encouraging business and organization staff to participate together, making time in your work schedule to gather regularly, say, biweekly or monthly for an hour or so, and share your experience. Creating the space and common language for talking about race is an essential first step to the exploration of developing a racial equity plan for your team and business.
HOW IT WORKS: Sign up to receive 21 weeks of prompts every Sunday morning beginning July 4th, you'll receive an email "prompt" with a short message and a link to the original “21 day challenge” reading, video or audio files. Extra resources are offered, in case you want to dig further into the topic. That’s it. The rest is up to you: make time to read, to explore, to reflect. Find ways to act. Be willing to be honest and vulnerable in your sharing. Accept that this is a long, complex, evolving journey. There is no right or wrong way to do this work. Be compassionate with your process.
