We are calling on our Texas social studies teachers in the great state of Texas to help shape civic education through the We the People curricular program. We cordially invite you to participate in a pilot program using a brand-new inquiry-based resource to integrate the We the People program into your class. Focused on engaging strategies and civics inquiry-based pedagogies for diverse learners, learn how We the People is a transformative experience for both teachers and students.

Participation Requirements
Texas social studies teacher (public, charter, or private school)
Teach underrepresented populations (students of color, low-income, indigenous populations, English learners, students with disabilities, other impacted populations)
Currently teach civics, government, U.S. history in grades 6-12
Will teach a significant portion of the course in the spring semester
Availability to participate in professional learning and mentor support from January -June 2024.
