REACH|TEACH|LOVE is honored to be asked by the City of San Antonio to manage the World Refugee Day (WRD) celebration children's events and privileged to be recognized in the proclamation for the day. We are one part of a day that will have lots of food, fun, dancing and games. The WRD was originated by the United Nations and is meant to recognize the plight of refugees around the world. Many refugees that we serve have worked hard with our military as translators, cultural liaisons, cooks, and many other jobs that serve the US military. In doing so, if their identities were uncovered they, and their families, often became immediate targets for assassination by the enemy and they receive Special Immigrant Visa's (SIV) to evacuate their families to safety. We have been privileged to befriend so many who are new to our beautiful city and help them acclimate with English, Education, Citizenship and more.
We are grateful to God for bringing the nations to San Antonio and out of harms way. Please come help us out on June, 24th Saturday from 12-4 or any part of that time. 12-1 we will be setting up and 1-4 we will be hosting a multitude of kids' activities. Each activity needs several hands to assist the kids with crafts, games, coloring, face painting and in general a whole lot of fun. Singles, Couples, Families, Seniors, all hands on deck for the day are welcome. No skills needed for many of the game just a smile and willing hearts and hands.
NOTE ALL ACTIVITIES WILL BE INDOORS DUE TO THE HEAT INDEX.
