Our classes are online via Zoom but include an interactive drawboard where everyone writes in real-time, which keeps students engaged in the learning. Students see the effects that scores have in the gradebook, but parents and charter teachers are ultimately responsible for final grades.
Cost - $325/semester, due September 5th and January 5th. This fee includes curriculum, engaging activities, quality instruction, support outside of class and a gradebook for student accountability. Students are welcome to join mid-semester if there is room!

Math classes:
Blend the personalized access of a class that can pre-teach, give context and inspire with an accessible curriculum designed for success! Crosier Classes this year will use Khan Academy for first introduction to a topic, then we will meet to do homework together. Khan Academy follows a well-mapped plan to mastery using instructional videos, exercises, avatars and badges. Class meetings add interaction with peers, puzzles for active learning, accountability to stay on pace and answers to questions in a timely manner. Help Hours are spread throughout the week to support students.
Writing classes using IEW:
Students grow SO much more in a writing class. Friendships are formed, but even more, students gain insights and inspiration by hearing the writing of others! We play instructional games, use our real-time drawboard, and enjoy discussions where students can express their voice and views. Our class covers writing in all styles. Instruction and activities in grammar, reading and vocabulary will come through Khan Academy assignments and the study of a classic book. Only one purchase, a novel, is needed because all other curriculum is provided.
Class Atmosphere: I inspire a desire for knowledge and fuel each student with compliments and encouragement. We create quality work without the stressful demands of perfectionism. In fact, it's ok to make mistakes. We are all here to learn. I hold students to a high performance standard but am always flexible to parent requests. Respect to others, including cultural differences, and uplifting communication is required.
Please contact me with any questions via text (most effective,) phone or email. I'm here to help!
Class size: Math classes have around 8-10 students. Writing classes have around 12-15 students (more exposure to peer writing brings more growth.) Minimum enrollment is required. I will notify parents if the minimum might not be met.
