LAUSD is hopeful and optimistic that students will be able to return to classrooms as soon as it is possible to do so safely. While there is no specific date of return, our school is busily preparing once we are given the green light. Once we get closer to returning you will most likely receive a formal survey from LAUSD but in the meantime our school would like to gather some information so we can begin preparing.
We are developing multiple plans to deliver instruction, including the possibility that if families do not feel comfortable returning physically to school then they can continue with remote learning from home. It is crucial that we receive input from you about our school start-up plans so that we can best meet your needs.
Please take the time to complete the survey below. Your feedback is vital to the success of our students and school district.
Thank you for your assistance.
Definitions that might be helpful as you answer the questions below:
Remote Learning - Remote Learning occurs when the student and teacher are separated by time and distance and therefore cannot meet in a traditional classroom setting. *Keep in mind it is possible your child's teacher could change.
Hybrid Learning- Hybrid Learning involves the teacher providing instruction to a group of students at school in a cohort (small group) model for a portion of the school day. Students will be at the school site for a portion of the school day and then work on asynchronous work at home.
Things to consider:
1. All students and staff will need to be COVID 19 Tested in order to return to school. Visit
https://achieve.lausd.net/covidtestingappt to schedule an appointment now.
2. Students will most likely be in cohorts (small groups for instruction) for a portion of the day, not the entire school day.
