Serving on our School Community Council is a wonderful way for parents and teachers to contribute and help improve our academic performance at our school. The school receives an annual dividend from the school trust lands. Our council decides how these funds will be used. The council also reviews and prepares other academic plans and helps to support other activities at our school.
Every public school in Utah has a School Community Council. The councils are made up of school employees who are elected by employees and parents who are are elected by parents of students attending the school. Membership terms are for 2 years. This year we are looking for 2 people to replace council members who have moved on to different schools. Depending upon the interested we receive we may need to hold an election that will take place next week (September 16th-20th). If you're interested in joining our council for the 2024-2025 school year please complete the google form and a member of the council will reach out to you. This form will need to be filled out by Sunday, September 15th.
Our first council meeting will be held on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00pm at Jordan Hills Elementary.
