SIG: Alternative Grading Strategies
In this three session SIG, participants will explore at least two popular alternative grading formats, specifications grading and ungrading. Through discussions and hands-on activities, participants will compare features of these methods, learn about experiences from early adopters at CMU, and consider whether an alternative grading method may be a good fit for their courses and their students. Sessions will include opportunities to begin designing new course materials with support. This SIG is designed to support faculty across disciplines who are curious about alternative grading but have not yet tried it.
Please register me for all three sessions of this program. *
