Meeting Notice to Members/Parents:

KDE PTA will be holding our General Membership meeting on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 9:00 am at KDE. This meeting will include voting on changes to our bylaws and the induction of our 2024-25 Officers.  

Please fill the google form before NOON on May 9th, 2024 to have your raptor badge preprinted. 

Non PTA members can still RSVP and are welcome to attend as a guest to meet our board, other members, and learn more about what our PTA is up to. As a reminder, you MUST be a PTA member to cast a vote. If you would like to vote and are not yet a member, you can still join at www.joinpta.org today!

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE KDE PTA BYLAWS: 
Texas PTA has voted to increase the amount of their state dues effective August 1, 2024. Considering this increase, a Bylaws Committee was formed and they recommend the following amendment to the bylaws.

Current Bylaw:
Article VII. Membership and Dues, Section 2. Dues.
B. Annual dues for each member shall be the sum of national dues plus state dues plus the local dues amount of $5.50.

Proposed Amendment:
Increase the local dues to $6.00.

New Bylaw if Approved:
Article VII. Membership and Dues, Section 2. Dues
B. Annual dues for each member shall be the sum of national dues plus state dues plus the local dues amount of $6.00.

The proposed amendment would be for the 2024-2025 fiscal/membership year.

This proposed amendment will be voted on during the KDE PTA General Membership Meeting on May 10, 2024 at 9:00AM in the LGI.
