Some element of risk is obviously unavoidable in a project of this nature, but we can work together to minimise it as far as possible.

LeadNow in cooperation with Amor Europe will:

1. Undertake to provide all reasonable supervision of this project, particularly where manual or construction work is involved, to minimise any risks. Guidance on the use of tools and equipment will be provided where necessary. Young people will not be using power tools.
2. Provide travel, health and personal insurance to cover your trip abroad — the details of the policy including the cover provided are available from your Group Leader. Guidance on healthcare before, during, and after the project will be given to you by your Group Leader.
3. LeadNow and Amor Europe Team Leaders reserve the right, and have the full authority, to take whatever sanctions (including repatriation) are felt necessary against any team member who, by their attitude or behaviour, endangers the safety, health, unity, or well–being of their team, or whose behaviour gives warranted offence to nationals. Such action will only be taken after discussion with the individual concerned — and among the team as a whole (and after consultation with parents, if related to a young person).
4. You should be clear that you join this project as a volunteer and that no contract of employment exists between you and LeadNow and/or Amor Europe.

In return, we ask you that you observe the following simple rules:

1. At all times to recognise the authority of your Team Leaders and to obey their instructions and advice.
2. To be sensitive to the local culture in such areas as dress, body language, music, dancing, and romantic relationships — please respect your Leaders’ advice in these areas to avoid giving offence and endangering relationships with the local people.
3. Not to smoke, drink alcohol, or take recreational drugs at any time during the project.
4. To take care at all times to safeguard the health and safety both of yourself and other members of the team, especially through high standards of hygiene and responsible behaviour.
5. Not to drive cars, motorbikes, or other vehicles, or ride as passengers on motorbikes during the project.
6. Not to paddle or swim in any water without the express permission of the leader.
7. Not to develop any exclusive relationship with another team member, or with a local resident, during the project. We ask this both to preserve team unity, which exclusive friendships usually disrupt, and to avoid any cultural offence.

8. Not to travel independently, or to leave the main group, while on the project.

In addition, please note that in the event that you drop out of the team at any stage, you will be liable for any expenses incurred up to that time, including air fares.

Please also be aware to make any neccessary arrangements regarding your (medical and travel) insurance if needed. You should e.g. check whether your insurance covers medical treatments in Moldova. This is the personal responsibility of every person coming along on this trip to Moldova. LeadNow DOES NOT offer insurance of any kind!
