Totus Tuus @ICC Auburn - Week of June 24th, 2024
*Please fill out a separate form for every child who will be attending.*

Let your children be inspired by the Beauty of the Catholic Faith!

Once again, we are excited to offer a week-long Parish Mission for our youth. This fun week will be hosted by the parishes of DeKalb County and will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish in Auburn. The week is filled with faith, fun, and friendship. There are exciting games, silly skits, and of course, inspiring lessons. Our college-age catechists provide an authentic witness to the students. We would love to have your children join us for this FREE faith and fun-filled week!

The Motivation of Totus Tuus
Totus Tuus, a Latin phrase meaning “Totally Yours,” was the motto of Pope Saint John Paul II. Taken from St. Louis de Montfort’s “True Devotion to Mary” phrase, it signifies our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus Christ through Mary. It also expresses our effort to give our all to every young person we encounter. Through the teams’ example of joy and service, the youth see that these men and women are on fire with the Catholic Faith and long for the same thing in their lives.

The Mission of Totus Tuus
The mission of Totus Tuus is to inspire in young people a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for daily conversion and an openness to their vocation by the constant challenge to give themselves entirely to Christ through Mary and by continually strengthening their prayer lives in imitation of Her.

The Method of Totus Tuus
Totus Tuus calls upon college students and seminarians from across the United States to carry this mission to every young person they encounter. These young men and women are hired for their energy, enthusiasm, love of the Faith, commitment to spiritual growth, ability to work with a team and a desire to work with youth.

Teams of four, two men and two women, travel to a different parish each week, hosting a five-day catechetical program for grades 1-12, similar to “Vacation Bible School." The week is filled with faith, fun, and friendship. There are messy games and crazy skits. Our college-age teachers provide an authentic witness to the students.

Once again, we will be looking for parents or grandparents who might be interested in helping with lunch-prep!

In the past, our lunches have been kept fairly simple...for example: half of a ham sandwich, a small cup of fruit and/or cup of veggies, a bag of pretzels, a cookie, and a drink.  Hot dogs and pizza are a favorite too! There are no rules. You can be as creative or basic as you'd like:) For example, we have prepared the lunches in brown paper bags and have even used foam (portioned) plates in the past. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of paper and plastic products as well. The children and volunteers will enjoy whatever you come up with! The number of lunches needed has varied but it has typically been around 60 or so.

Our church does have a full kitchen and the lunches will be served right from the counter inside the kitchen/parish hall.

Lunch will be served every day at 12-Noon right after Mass.  It would be best to have everything set out and ready to go by 11:55 so that the kids can line up in the parish hall and grab their lunches right after they leave the church.

We are hopeful that we will have gift cards to share with our lunch volunteers to help offset the cost.

If you are interested in helping with one (or more) day(s) of lunch prep, then please comment below and mention which day you would like to help!  If you would like to pair up with another parent(s) so that you can divide and conquer, then that is a fabulous idea as well!

T-shirts will be available for purchase throughout the week! The cost is $12. If you plan to purchase a T-Shirt at some point during the week, then let us know below which size you may want.  This will ensure that we have enough sizes available.
