UCLA Urban Planning: Statement of Purpose Peer Review

Please complete the following form to be connected with a current MURP student that will review your statement of purpose and provide feedback. Students will be connected via email, who will arrange the best method to have their statement reviewed with the volunteer. All prospective students to the MURP program are welcome to complete the below form. If you are applying to a different graduate program, we ask that you contact the appropriate department to see if they have a similar service available. Reviews will be held starting November 21 and continue through December 12.

We will attempt to connect everyone with a student reviewer, but depending on demand we want to prioritize first generation college students and BIPOC applicants in order to further the department's equity mission. We encourage non-first-generation and non-BIPOC students to sign up for this service and are more than happy to help review your statements, but want to ensure that historically underrepresented students and those that historically have access to fewer mentorship opportunities can have their statements reviewed first.
