Audition Contract
Students and parents are required to read and initial the following contract in order to audition.

If I am selected as a member of the cast of THE LITTLE MERMAID, my parents/guardians and I understand and agree to the following expectations:
1. Rehearsals will usually occur Tuesdays, Wednesday, and/or Thursday afternoons until 5:15 pm.  Rehearsals will occasionally be called for Monday and Friday afternoons. *

2.    All rehearsals starting April 19 are mandatory for all cast and crew. Some rehearsals may run as late as 8:30pm. *

3. "THE LITTLE MERMAID," will be presented  May 6, 7, 13, & 14  at 7pm and May 7 at 2pm. *

4. Each cast member is allowed 3 excused absences due to previous commitments. You must list the commitments in the space above. Students that have multiple after school commitments that will repeatedly conflict with rehearsals should not audition for a principle character.  If you have a question regarding a conflict, see Mr. Shaw. *

5. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals they are called for. Students may have their roles reduced or be asked to leave the cast if they miss more than 3 rehearsals, regardless of the reason. *

6. Students are expected to be proactive with learning their lines and developing their performances. Any student may be demoted or removed if they are not proactive with learning their lines. *

7. Students are expected to maintain an excellent, positive, productive, committed, and teamwork-oriented attitude throughout the entire rehearsal process. *

8. All illnesses and emergencies must be verified by an email from a parent/guardian. The drama staff reserves the right to reevaluate casting due to an inordinate number of illnesses and/or emergencies. *

9. Students are expected to keep up with their homework throughout rehearsals. Rehearsals are not an excuse for missed homework or missing class. Students that use this excuse with their teachers will participate in a conference with that teacher, their parents, Mr. Shaw, and an administrator. *

10. Students are to use the utmost care around Tilden Drama’s equipment and property.  Damage to equipment and property resulting from negligence will be considered a breach of contract and will significantly reduce the chances of that student being involved in future productions. *

11. If selected, all cast members will have to sign a contract agreeing to all drama club expectations. Please note that quitting the show any time after the start of production except for seriously extenuating circumstances will be considered a breach of contract and will significantly reduce the chances of that student being involved in future productions. *

12.  Due to possible future updates with the MCPS COVID policies, this production may change format to a virtual presentation or concert production. *
