Conversations on Diversity and Equity Issues in STEM RSVP
Host: Wayne State University Chapter of Nu Rho Psi, the National Honor Society in Neuroscience

Event Description: This event will discuss the impact that discrimination has on scholars from marginalized communities, how to buffer against these experiences, and the need for diversifying STEM fields. We will start with a presentation by Dominique Luisa La Barrie, graduate student at the University of Georgia, and Dr. Stephanie Hawkes, Ed.D., Interim Director at WSU's Office of Multicultural Student Engagement, followed by an open Q and A and discussion.
