Learning Violin Online - favorite tools
I have been trying to get a supplemental online violin education service going for a while now, where I make an online video & PDF curriculum for students to learn topic and songs. During this COVID-19 crisis and in between group class semesters seems like the perfect time. I have a lot of ideas about topics I could teach about, but I want to know which ones you would be most interested in learning, and even if you're not drawn to learning in this format your feedback is still valuable).

I also find it so important to maintain our sense of community, because one, I LOVE my students, and two, music is always more fun with other people (in my, and many people's, opinions)!

This is the longest survey I have ever asked you to do, so grab a coffee and let's take a quick dive together into all of the possibilities. I won't be offended by any answer if you don't like or aren't interested in something, I just need to throw all the ideas out there to gauge the reaction.

Could you ever see you yourself being interested in a pre-recorded online violin course (meaning, an online curriculum with a set number of pre-recorded videos, PDFs, etc., as opposed to a live group class)? These would also be used as a supplement to group and private classes. *
Required
Have you ever taken a non-live, pre-recorded online course before, on any topic? What platform was it on? What did you like about it? Or, what do you think you might like about it? *
How helpful would you / do you find the "Sound Slices"? (Videos of me playing each part, plus rolling sheet music with a red line to track which note I am on?) *

Not helpful at all
Supremely helpful
What could make Sound Slices even better? Or, do you have any comments on this?
How helpful would you / do you find the videos of me playing each part (without rolling sheet music)? *

If you could choose only one online tool to help you, which would it be? In other words, which is the MOST helpful? *
Your patience so far is quite the virtue, let me tell you. Note: Sound Slice has a function which allows you to increase or decrease the tempo of the video or of the score itself.
Which pre-recorded courses might you ever be interested in taking? *
Feel free to choose selfishly. If you play viola or cello, translate "violin" to "viola" and check off the last box in addition to your choices. And shoot me any extra ideas you have!
Required
Which pre-recorded course do you think I should put out first? *
That's right, you only get to choose one!! Again, if you are interested in possibly taking one of these, feel free to choose selfishly. Otherwise, give me your best personal opinion.
What ideas do you have to keep an active sense of community in our group in between group semesters? (and for online-only students in general) *
Help me think of ideas!
Required
What do you think a good live group class online includes? *
Would you like to be emailed updates about these pre-recorded courses? *
Ok, last question. What do you think could set me apart in the world of pre-recorded online courses? (Either a quality or a resource that I could or already do provide.) *
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
