Connecting, Collaborating, and Engaging

The purpose of Forest Gatherings is to build relationships between Tribal, local, regional, state and federal leaders. Each Forest Gathering is hosted by the Tribe whose place we are gathering in and guided by a planning team including the Tribe and local leaders/organizations. Forest Gatherings convey the importance of place when making management decisions, showcase the power of strong networks and collaborations, identify common values and interests, identify locally informed pathways toward climate resilience and build trust and understanding between local actors, policy makers, and others.
