Chromebook Deployment
Sherrod has completed our Fall MAP and iReady assessments as well as used this month to prepare students for remote learning.   Chromebooks have been assigned to each student; this Chromebook will be the device they use until 8th grade. You may elect to have your child transport their Chromebook daily to and from school. 

Here are a few tips for your child:
  • Keep the name tag on the device
  • Be sure the device comes back to school EVERY day
  • Be sure the device is fully charged and ready for school use
  • Keep the device in a public place, not in the bedroom
  • There is replacement costs for lost or damaged devices and lost or damaged power cords.  Replacement starts at $300 and is depreciated in value each year; replacement for power cords $30.00
  • Kids can decorate their Chromebook case to individualize it.  Please do not cover their name tag or any service tags or barcodes.  Do not personalize the Chromebook device itself, only the outer case.
Responding yes to this survey authorizes your child to transport their device to and from school.  Only students with a completed survey will transport Chromebooks, this will confirm that parents are willing to take on the responsibility.  

If your child forgets their device, a phone call home will be made stating that your child did not come to school prepared for success.  Students who do not have a charged Chromebook or forgot their Chromebook at home will complete paper pencil assignments for that day's schoolwork.
