Participant Application
About
Leadership PSD exists to develop a lasting community of engaged partners to support PSD students. Participants will learn from leaders in PSD about key aspects of how PSD operates, as well as the history, governance, budget, operations, curriculum, and special programs of Poudre School District and its 53 schools.

The goal is for Leadership PSD alumni to exit the program with tangible partnership connections with PSD. Examples include providing Work-Based Learning opportunities for students, volunteering, joining a committee, starting a special project with your organization, supporting a school or district program, and/or any other partnership ideas that you/your organization may be inspired to pursue.

Cost
This is a free program, however, to help cover material costs, breakfast, and coffee, we will ask participants and/or the organizations they represent for an optional donation. Donation is not required, nor a factor in deciding which applicants are admitted to the program. The cost to provide this program each year is approximately $200 per person, so donations help assure long-term sustainability and a top-notch experience.

Application and Selection Details
Applications for the 2024-2025 school year cohort are being accepted now through August 1, 2024. A Leadership PSD cohort can range from 15-25 people. Priority will be given to early submissions and those who can commit to attending all sessions. Anyone who anticipates missing any session should wait and apply in a future year.

Application reviews will occur on a rolling basis with a committee comprised of the Leadership PSD Steering Committee (select alumni of the program), as well as Nick Peterson and Dawn Feit from the Career & Innovation Department. In some instances, candidates may be contacted via phone or email for follow-up questions and/or a brief interview.

If you are selected for this year's Leadership PSD cohort, you will be notified by mid-August at the latest.

How did you find out about Leadership PSD? *
Required
Leadership PSD will likely cover the topics listed at the beginning of this form. What additional topics or departments would you like to learn about and engage with? *
We'd like every Leadership PSD session to be interactive, incorporate feedback, and be a true forum for engagement of community leaders and influencers. What ideas do you have to support these goals in Leadership PSD sessions? *
Please share why you're interested in participating in this year's edition of Leadership PSD, what you hope to get out of it, and how you might apply or enact what you've learned in your area(s) of influence? *
Over the year, a brief small group service/volunteer project may be part of the Leadership PSD experience, which will likely require some additional time and initiative outside our scheduled meetings. Will you be open to this? (Bonus: If so, what project ideas come to mind initially?)
We want Leadership PSD to be accessible to everyone who's willing and able to participate, and we have the ability to accommodate a wide variety of needs. If you're comfortable, please share any special accommodations you would need.

Possible examples could be translation services, mobility/accessibility, visual/color, and any dietary requirements.

If you prefer, you may contact Nick Peterson, PSD Community & Business Development Coordinator: npeterson@psdschools.org, 970-556-5218
