We're Back! The First Flying Fish Heads Post-Covid Swim Meet

Join us Sunday, August 28th at the Fox Chapel Racquet Club for the first swim meet in the Allegheny Mountain Region since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, hosted by the Flying Fish Heads. There is no entry fee and no limits on the number of races an individual can swim in but the suggestion is to swim no more than one per "session" or between the 10 minute breaks. See schedule below. All swimmers must be active USMS members and sign a waiver in order to participate. Warm up is at 7:30 a.m., races begin at 8:30 a.m. Brunch is now BYO to share on the porch after the meet.

Plan your meet! Select all of the races you'd like to compete in. Mixed races have all swimmers in them. Mixed relays have two male and two female identifying swimmers. There is no limit to the number of races you are allowed to swim in and there are no entry fees. The suggestion is to swim no more than one per "session" or between the 10 minute breaks because these meets go quickly- when we end up with exhausted swimmers and last minute deck scratches the meet becomes less efficient. With our timeline (the POOL OPENS AT 11 for members) we are trying to be mindful of this. And we will celebrate your 5 individual events if you really want to do it!
