2021-2022 Superintendent's Parent Leadership Council Application

The Superintendent’s Parent Council will build and strengthen family and school partnerships that are essential for helping students achieve their maximum potential. We believe strong parent collaboration is an important component of helping all students achieve their academic goals.

The Council will meet four times a year from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the St. Landry Parish School Board Supplemental Resource Center:

- October 20, 2021, at the St. Landry Parish School Board Resource Center
- December 15, 2021, at the St. Landry Parish School Board Resource Center
- February 16, 2022, at the St. Landry Parish School Board Resource Center
- April 20, 2022, at the St. Landry Parish School Board Resource Center

Parent discussions and input are highly valued and member attendance at all council meetings is encouraged. In accordance with our Start Strong plan, all meeting attendees must wear a face covering, submit to a temperature check, and maintain social distancing.

The Superintendent invites any parent of a current SLPSD school student to apply for a seat on the 26 member parent council. Two parents from each School Board district will be selected.

The deadline to apply to participate in the Superintendent's Parent Leadership Council is Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
