Chili Cookoff Competitor Form
20th Annual Tom Daniel Holiday Chili Cook Off 2023 Entry Form

-All competitors are required to cook 10 gallons of chili in lieu of an entry fee. Competitors may enter more than one chili but must have 10 gallons of each.  Not meeting this requirement will result in the entry not being judged.

-Competitors provide your own cooking fuel, chili fixings, pots, cooking utensils.

-DAHS will provide bowls, spoons and napkins for ticket holders.

-Your booth will come with 1 table and 2 chairs. You are encouraged to decorate your booth!!

.  These are the two categories: 

●  Traditional Chili is defined as any kind of meat or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices, and other ingredients, except for BEANS or other fillers, which are strictly forbidden. NO BEANS

●  Non-traditional Chili is defined as any type of chili that does not qualify as traditional, such as white, green, or vegetarian chili. Any chili that contains beans will be in this category as well. INCLUDES BEANS

 NO GARNISH IS ALLOWED IN JUDGING SAMPLES

●People’s Choice Award everyone who attends the Cook Off receives a ticket. After sampling all the chili, they vote by placing their ticket in the “People’s Choice Box” at your booth. 

  ~Remember to create a box for the People’s Choice Votes for your table.

 

***Important change*** Electricity is provided for CHILI COOKING only. You may not use the outlets inside the garage for decorations! You will be asked to unplug or you will be disqualified.

-If you need an electrical outlet for your chili you will need an extension Cord. You get access to 1 electrical outlet. They are limited, so please be fair.

-Cooking may take place on or off the premises. If cooking on-site, setup will be available starting at 10:00 am.

-Judging will take place at 4pm. Each contestant will have approximately a 10 x 10-foot area. We encourage you to decorate it as it draws people to your booth…and you could receive a trophy for your efforts. We look forward to seeing you there!

4:00 Judging booth decorations

4:00 Chili taken to Judges for tasting

4:30 Gates open to public

6:45 Awards Ceremony
