**Before you submit your request, please click "Find a Library" above and check to see if your school or library has already requested a Rainbow Library for the 19-20 school year.  We will only be able to provide a Rainbow Library to the first staff member from a school/library that submits a request.**

What is the Rainbow Library?
The Rainbow Library is an initiative by GLSEN Connecticut that works to provide LGBTQ+ affirming text sets to schools, teachers and libraries free of charge. These sets will feature a racially and ethnically diverse collection of characters and history from across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Sets will consist of age appropriate books, broken up into five age groups: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any full-time staff member at a Connecticut K-12 school is welcome to request a Rainbow Library. All types of K-12 schools are eligible: district, magnet, charter, independent, you name it! We will have limited resources to send books. Each school that applies will be eligible for one Rainbow Library text set. But don’t worry, more text sets will be available next year!

How do I apply for my classroom or library?
Fill out this application today!  Resources are limited, and will be prioritized on a first come, first served basis.  If approved, you will receive an email approximately 1 month before the shipment date, requesting confirmation. As stated above, all slots for the fall 2019 shipment are full, so complete this form to receive your text set in 2020.
