The Learning Resource Center-South New Teacher Academy (NTA) provides high-quality professional learning experiences to support the professional growth of new teachers as they enter the teaching profession. The NTA curriculum will address research-based high leverage inclusive practices and include engaging activities that will be beneficial to all new teachers. Teachers entering their first through third year of teaching are welcome to apply.

The NTA is a three-day program scheduled for Tuesday, August 9th; Wednesday, August 10th; and Thursday, August 11th from 8:30am to 3pm. This program will be held in person at Rowan University, James Hall.*
*Note: Due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, adjustments may be made to provide a virtual conference.

To best support your experience as a new teacher, you will become a member of the New Teacher Academy Professional Learning Community (PLC). In addition to our summer program, we will continue to support your early years of teaching with monthly virtual PLC meetings tentatively scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month (September - June).

To make the most of this valuable opportunity, you will be required to attend a virtual orientation on Tuesday, August 2nd at 6:30 pm, all three days of the summer academy (August 9th-11th), and scheduled monthly PLC meetings.
