The event will start with a brief overview of the firm, followed by a detailed presentation on the the firm’s private equity department. This presentation will cover topics like what to expect in a typical private equity transaction, what the different stages in a transaction are, what sort of tasks trainees get involved in, as well as examples of clients the firm has worked with. This segment is expected to last about 45 minutes long. Subsequently, there will be a 15-minute long Q&A session during which participants can freely ask anything regarding the presentation.
After a short break, participants will return for the interactive component of the workshop. All participants will be sent a case study and a transaction structure chart to read through before the event. The case study will concern a hypothetical private equity transaction and will contain questions that participants can think through prior to being invited to discuss their answers during the workshop. This segment will last approximately 40 minutes long. Finally, there will be a short application workshop during which the firm’s Recruitment Advisor, Katherine McAteer, will speak about the application process and respond to any questions that participants might have.
