Sign-up for a free 45-minute "Introduction to DiscoverText" workshop below. This remote-learning class is for students and faculty with a valid academic email address. It focuses on how to collect and study Twitter. You will learn how to gather, search, filter, deduplicate, cluster, human code, and machine-classify data using a mixed methods framework. We cover inductive qualitative as well as deductive quantitative hypothesis testing approaches. The workshop addresses legal and ethical considerations when working with Twitter data. Participants who complete the training will be granted a 2-month gratis license to pursue their own research and free project consultation as needed.
