In an ongoing effort to support new and emerging collage artists, Twin Cities Collage Collective is offering a tenth round of the Collage Materials Scholarship!
Through this project, we will provide a variety of unique vintage and contemporary paper-based collage material at no cost to the recipient to support their creative exploration. Receiving a mix of material can kickstart creativity and lead to fascinating breakthroughs!
Our hope with this project is to help expand access for new and emerging artists to support their exploration -- it takes time to gather a collection of material! As such, we respectfully and humbly ask that collage artists who have an ongoing steady access to collage material do not apply.
- Eligibility: U.S.-based new and emerging collage artists. We cannot accept international applicants at this time due to the costs associated with shipping. You must have a U.S.-based shipping address to apply.
- Black, brown, mixed race and indigenous folks are
encouraged to apply, as are members of the
LGBTQIA2S+ community. In the spirit of mutual aid, we are not evaluating applications based on a subjective perception of "need". We are committed to amplifying the voices of BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ artists, and will do our best to connect as many new and emerging collage artists with materials as possible, especially those who have not received materials from the scholarship before.
- Applications will remain open through May 31st, 2024. We will work to fulfill as many requests as possible in that timeframe. You will receive an email if and when we are able to fill your request. If your request was not able to be filled, please apply during the next application period.
- Applicants may only receive one packet in a 12-month period. If you have received a packet within the past 12 calendar months, please do not submit a request.
- Packets are mailed out once a month. When shipped, you'll receive an email with tracking information. Please keep in mind that this is a volunteer project, and we do our best to get the packets out in a timely fashion.
- Want to help sustain this project? $7 funds the costs associated with the shipping and handling of one scholarship packet (shipping costs have been routinely rising). This is a grassroots project that is currently being funded solely by donations from the community and TCCC members. If you would like to support this project, please visit buymeacoffee.com/tccc
- Do you have collage material to donate? (Especially if you are in the Twin Cities, Minnesota metro area!) Please contact us! This is a great way to help sustain our scholarship, materials distribution and in-person activities. We are not able to reimburse shipping costs for collage material donations at this time. Thank you for your assistance and understanding!
