GBM SONGWRITING CAMP APPLICATION
project first.wave's songwriting camp focuses on creating and delivering Gender Balanced Music (GBM) to champion diversity and inclusivity in production teams. 

Our core objective is to significantly increase the participation and employment of female and non-binary music producers in the music and entertainment sectors and beyond. Participants collaborate online worldwide to produce songs specifically designed for pitch/sync opportunities. We've partnered with Schubert Music (SM) to achieve our goal and to offer artists from the camps greater exposure.

Application Process:
If your application is successful, our dedicated A&R team will reach out with further details. Once the camp concludes, we aim to release and feature the selected songs in Schubert Music's Library, which will also oversee subsequent processes.

What Happens in and After the Camp?

Songs will be created by international teams with diverse cultural backgrounds, following predefined briefs from Schubert Music Library (SML). Our goal is to spotlight talent, release the tracks, and include them in the SML library.

Schubert Music (SM) is a large European Publishing company spread out across 11 offices, covering 16 major territories with deep relationships to the societies, media & music companies. Its Library business SML provides production music to the media and creative industries for licensing in movies, advertising, TV production, and various digital projects worldwide. SML manages the administration, post-camp processes, releases, and integrates music into its library of songs after careful selection. SML is also committed to supporting diversity and inclusion in the music industry, providing exposure and promotion for selected participating projects.

To participate you'll need :

  1. a laptop/PC
  2. possibility to record yourself in your DAW in High / Studio Quality
  3. internet access
  4. ability to transmit video and sound
