Option 2 – Blended Learning
Basic Definition Blended learning looks as much like face-to-face instruction as possible. Students must have internet access and parent support at home is preferred. Instruction can include live, streamed classes, video lessons, Google Meet and other methods. Teachers will be using Google Classroom to help facilitate blended learning.
Student Enrollment Blended Learning students will be enrolled in their normal school just as in-person learning. Students in this option may attend in-person classes if there is a need for direct teacher support which will need to be scheduled with the teacher before attending. Blended learning will have the same attendance expectations as in-person learning (students will complete work daily).
Teachers Blended Learning will be provided by each student’s assigned teacher(s); however, depending on the number of students, the district may assign some teachers who only facilitate and teach blended instruction.
Curriculum and Instruction Blended Learning will be at the same content and pacing as in-person instruction. Students who are currently enrolled in services such as special education, gifted/talented, English Learner, hearing/vision, speech will continue to receive those services in-person and/or virtually.
Extracurricular Activities Students may continue to participate in KHSAA sports and extra-curricular activities at the school level.
