DAYUM July 2023 Internship Application
Thank you for your interest in DAYUM's July 2023 Internship! Interns are required to participate in trainings every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from July 2nd through August 1st from 1:00-4:00pm. They will receive a $750 stipend, half paid at the beginning of the month and half at the end. Interns will receive in-depth training on Youth Organizing, base building, and campaign strategy, and be ready to launch their own youth-led social justice campaigns by the start of the new school year.

Don't feel like you have to write an entire essay for all of these questions! We just want to get to know you as a person and understand your interest in social justice and youth organizing. 

You must submit your application by Monday, May 29th. You will find out whether you were accepted by Monday, June 5th, and the internship will start on Sunday, July 2nd. Please email juliaScuneo@gmail.com if you have any questions. We are so excited to learn and build with you!

Attendance Schedule *
Interns are required to participate in trainings every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from July 2nd through August 1st from 1:00-4:00pm. Are you able to commit to all of these dates? (Keep in mind, we will be meeting over the 4th of July weekend.)

Interns may not miss any of the first week, but may miss up to 1 day each of the next weeks as long as they let us know in advance and complete make-up hours. 
Would you be able to travel for an in-person kickoff on Monday, July 3rd from 1:00-4:00pm?  *
The majority of this program will be virtual. This answer will not impact your application, we just want to see if we could do the kickoff in person! Most likely this would be in the Detroit area.
