The Wilberforce Society Conference 2024 — Expression of Interest
The Wilberforce Society is the UK's oldest student-led public policy think-tank, based in the University of Cambridge. We are excited to welcome sixth-form participants to our annual conference this year, themed — ''Did we just create a monster or a miracle? - The challenges of regulating AI'. Our conference will host a small-group public policy workshop catered to students, as well as a series of panel discussions on key public policy issues, allowing your students to hear from thought leaders in academia, government and business.

The details of the conference are as follows:
Date: 24 Feb 2024 (Saturday)
Venue: The Cambridge Union, 9A Bridge Street, Cambridge CB2 1UB
The pre-conference workshop will begin at 10:00 am and will be followed by a lunch break and the conference proper. The conference is scheduled to end at 6:15 pm.

If you have any prior experience in policy work (e.g. work shadowing at the office of your MP), please let us know!
We are extremely excited to hear from all of you about any policy-related experience you might have- this might be a job shadowing opportunity, volunteering, workshops or conferences like this. This is not a prerequisite for attending the conference- we would just like to understand our participants a little better to create a workshop + conference that will be most beneficial for all of you.
Please let us know if you have any allergies/dietary restrictions.
Please ensure you have purchased your tickets here: https://payment.thewilberforcesociety.co.uk. Please note that you will not be able to attend unless a valid ticket has been purchased! *
