Wellington Hockey is seeking expressions of interest in joining the newly formed Appointments Panel.

The purpose of the appointments panel is to have an independent group who will appoint umpires to weekly games. This panel will be overseen by a WHA staff member to ensure fair process is followed, but the staff member will not be part of the appointments panel. An appointments policy and guide will be produced for the panel to follow to ensure there is transparency and fairness for our umpires when it comes to appointments for P1 & P2 Open Grade games. Members of the Appointments Panel will be responsible for the appointments for the remaining Open Grades and Secondary Competitions.

Anyone interested in applying for membership to the Appointments Panel is asked to complete this application form. Further information maybe sort.

Appointment to the WHA Appointments Panel will be made by WHA office in conjunction with the newly appointed Umpire Council Chairperson.

Applications close Wednesday 3rd March 2021, with an appointments process to start week commencing 8th March 2021.
