More on Jackrabbits:
Roblin Park Jackrabbits Hockey is a beginner hockey program.  It provides the basics for skating and hockey skills in a fun, non competitive environment.  It is held on the outdoor rinks at Roblin Park Community Club each Saturday from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Each week players participate in drills to improve their basic hockey skills.  A scrimmage or “shinny” component is also an important part of each session. No organized teams are formed as groups change each week with attendance.  Sessions are 1 hour and are divided with 30 minutes of basic skills and drills for their development and 30 minutes of scrimmage time.
Roblin Park Jackrabbits is for players between the ages 4-9 years old.  Please note: Jackrabbits is not a learn to skate program. Participants should possess basic skating skills and have some prior experience with a stick and puck.
Jackrabbits gives players and families a chance to experience the game of hockey and develop basic hockey skills. The commitment involves meeting once a week in a practice type of environment. Players and families may be choosing Jackrabbits as an alternative as it is less of a commitment than regular hockey. Parents may also want to gauge their child’s interest / commitment in the game of hockey for future years of play.
Equipment for Jackrabbits hockey would include a minimum of stick, skates, helmet / cage, neck guard and elbow pads. Other optional equipment would include shin pads. Players could also choose to dress in full hockey gear.  Jackrabbits hockey is non contact. Practice jerseys can be borrowed from the club and then returned washed at season end. One jersey per child only.

The cost for the Roblin Park Jackrabbits Hockey Program is $80.00. Sessions cancelled due to cold / warm weather will not be given a partial refund. Our program typically runs from the end of November / early December to March.
