RSVP to Mellon DigiTalk with Orkan Telhan: “Biodesign.”
The Andrew W. Mellon Digital Humanities Fellows at the University of Rochester are pleased to invite you to attend our first DigiTalk of the semester. Our guest will be Orkan Telhan, an associate professor of Fine Arts—Emerging Design Practices at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design.

His talk titled “Biodesign,” will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm over Zoom. Please RSVP using this form by Wednesday, November 17. The link to the event will be sent out in a reminder email on the 17th.

The talk will be centered on biological design—an emerging field—that is aiming to bring together different perspectives from design, life sciences, engineering, and the humanities. Telhan will show a series of projects that demonstrate how biological design can address critical issues in social, cultural, and environmental responsibility.

The DigiTalks series features guest digital humanists in conversation about digital work in academia, public service, and industry.
