I have read the Marching Handbook in its entirety and would like to be a member of the West Essex Marching Band for the 2024 - 2025 season. Upon submitting this form, I understand that a 'spot' will be created specifically for me on the field in this season's production and once the drill is written, it is impossible to have the show adjusted during the season. I understand that I must be at all scheduled rehearsals, football games, competitions, band camp, and extracurricular events. It is expected that each student shall conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with the policies set forth by the West Essex Student Handbook on and off the field, this includes on social media. We strive to be a shining example of the best that West Essex has to offer both in uniform and civilian attire. The Band Director and the Assistant Principal will review any discipline issues that may arise. Any instances that occur will be handled in the same manner as it would if it happened during the school day. Any form of HIB will not be tolerated and will be investigated thoroughly by the school. No cell phones “on” during rehearsal. No texting or checking social websites during rehearsals or water breaks. Keep your phone out of sight during rehearsals, pre-rehearsal, breaks, etc. Public displays of affection are not permitted. This includes time spent on the bus.
