Sign up to volunteer for the A/V team for the Southern California Linux Expo (
http://socallinuxexpo.com), which takes place Jul 28-31, 2022 at the LAX Hilton. We will be handling the audiovisual equipment for 12 to 16 conference rooms: microphones, speakers, screens, projectors. We're also responsible for streaming video and video recording.
We are currently working on planning, software and technical development and logistics from now until the day of the conference. We are mainly located in the San Gabriel Valley near Pasadena. We also meet via Google Hangouts.
==We need the most people during setup and teardown. During the conference, we only need a handful of people for any particular shift.
The main tasks are:
-- Sound checks
-- Live Audio production (running a sound board or responding to issues)
-- Live video production (control the camera pan/tilt/zoom, switch between slides and speaker for the streaming video)
-- Cutting recorded video to upload to Youtube
