APL School Application 2019 - 2020
Funding awarded through Arts Partners for Learning (APL) will provide programs between September 2019 and June 2020.

APL is an initiative managed by Young Audiences of Western New York.
The goals of this initiative is to expand access to arts education for children in Western New York, and improve the capacity of cultural organizations to provide creative learning programs.

Eligibility: Your school is eligible if you are a Public or Charter School and/or have a student population where at least 30% of students qualify for a free or reduced lunch, or, lack regular visual arts and music instruction or arts enrichment opportunities.  Programs must occur during the school day.  There must be a dedicated, private workspace available for students.  Schools that apply early will be given priority.
All questions must be answered or your application will not be considered.

Accepted schools will be partnered with one or more cultural organizations listed below. Applicants may select their preferred program, but are not guaranteed their selected partnership. Partnership decisions are made based on the application narrative and budget. Programs with each cultural organization will consist of a minimum of 5 in-class workshops, or 1 field trip plus a minimum of 2 in-class workshops.  In-class workshops have a capacity of 30 students. In most cases, several workshops can be held in one day to maximize student participation.

Call the Young Audiences of Western New York office at (716) 881-0917 or email allison@yawny.org with any questions.
