The proposed increases to land tax pose a significant burden on manufacturers, many of whom are already grappling with various challenges, including rising operational costs, supply chain disruptions and economic uncertainty. Implementing higher land tax rates will only exacerbate these difficulties and force businesses to raise their prices, postpone investment/upgrades or render them unable to hire additional staff.
As advocates for the manufacturing industry, SEMMA is voicing our opposition to these detrimental measures.

ABOUT
The State Revenue Office (SRO) is currently in the process of issuing inflated Land Tax Statements – to repay the COVID debt. Some members are reporting that according to the SRO, valuation of their land it has doubled therefore doubling the cost of their Land Tax.
Your response is critical if we are to make a strong argument and oppose this tax and other increases on manufacturers.
