TRAINING COURSES REGULATIONS

Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC) organises or co-organises course(s) or seminars for scheme members, FDRC mediators and FDRC arbitrators from time to time.  To facilitate the conduct of the training, there are a number of regulations that participants should observe.  Unless otherwise stated, these regulations apply to all the sessions of the training: -

(1)           All fees, if any, paid are non-refundable and non-transferrable (except cancellation of programme). Participants CANNOT transfer to another training course/event or transfer the enrolment to another person.

(2)           In case of over-subscription, priority for enrolment will be given on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis. The organiser(s) reserve the right to reject an enrolment at any time.

(3)           Participants must fulfil the attendance requirement for the course(s) to be eligible for obtaining a Certificate of Attendance (e-version only).

(4)           Participants are reminded to register on time.  There may be official breaks as announced by speaker. Participants are required to return to the class before the announced time.  Participants should refer to the time displayed online or at the training venue for signing in and signing out purposes.

(5)           No videotaping and recording are allowed throughout the training course without the prior and written approval of the organiser(s).

(6)           All materials distributed before or during the programme, in whole or in part, should not be reproduced or transmitted in any format or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, or by any information storage and retrieval system, without the prior written permission from the organiser(s).

(7)           Upon completion of the course or seminar, participants are invited to fill out the evaluation forms and return to the organiser(s).

(8)           The information given and personal data collected will be used for administrative and communication purposes by the organiser(s).

(9)           The organiser(s) reserve the right to cancel, modify and/or postpone the programme, in which case participants will receive notification email on such arrangement.

(10)        If a Gale or Storm Signal No.8 or above or Black Rainstorm Signal is still in force 2 hours before the training course, the course on that day will be cancelled and be postponed. We shall contact the participants regarding the re-arrangement by email in due course.

(11)        If the training mode is online via Zoom or other online platforms, participants are responsible for providing their own compatible devices.  The organiser(s), jointly or individually, assume no responsibility for any losses or omissions due to delays or disruptions in the transmission of the signals /messages/ information.

(12)        If the training mode is in-person at the training venue:

(a)    Participants are required to sign at the training venue in-person.

(b)   No smoking is allowed.

(c)    Participants are required to keep the training venue clean and tidy.

(d)   During the training course, mobile phones, pagers and other electronic communications devices are required to be switched off or turned to silence mode.

(e)    The organiser(s), jointly or individually, assume no responsibility jointly or individually for the loss of or damages to your personal belongings.
