Scholarship Application
This form is for individuals interested in participating in a specific Pottery Works Cortland class. Please provide all of the information requested below. The interest statement should include your past creative experience, why you want to take this class, and how you will benefit from participating in this class.  

Purpose: The Pottery Works Scholarship awards funds to individuals who want to expand their creative interest through participation in pottery instruction with Pottery Works Cortland.

Criteria: Individuals age 14 and up are eligible for consideration. The scholarship funds are for class tuition with Pottery Works Cortland. Prior to submitting your application, we recommend that you view the current class offering at potteryworkscortland.com/classes.  While classes are always being added, viewing the current class offering will help instruct the amount of your request. Individuals can apply by submitting an interest statement through potteryworkscortland.com/scholarship or at the recommendation of a teacher or mentor from a local organization (i.e. school, Cortland Youth Bureau) through potteryworkscortland.com/scholarship. Consideration will be given to expressed interest in the arts and financial need.

Guidelines: Scholarships will be awarded throughout the year. Individuals must be available to attend all sessions of the class they are requesting funding for, with the exception of illness or emergency.

Amount: The amount will vary, based on the cost of the particular class, and will cover 100% of instruction and materials.

The Pottery Works Scholarship fund is made possible by the generous donations from our pottery community and the sale of demonstration pottery pieces made in the studio.
