Instructions for submitting recordings
Submit a recording of yourself performing an accompanied vocal solo that you feel is a good representation of your vocal abilities. The recording may be newly recorded, or may be from a performance within the past year. Recordings made during juries or lessons are fine.

To share the recording, you have two options. Choose from the following:
  1. Post the video on YouTube (unlisted) and share a link to the video using this form, or,
  2. Save video to Google Drive, and share the link to the video using this form (be sure the shared setting allows access to anyone who has the link).
Please submit your recording at least 24 hours prior to your live interview portion.

If you have any questions, please email Dr. Robbins at richard.robbins@su.edu.

Additional information about call-backs/live auditions will be shared via email prior to the audition.
Live audition
*
I have emailed Dr Robbins to schedule the live portion of my audition.

If you need assistance, please reach out to Dr. Robbins at richard.robbins@su.edu.
Concert Attire
*
I understand that I will need to acquire appropriate attire for concerts and photos, before our first scheduled event (photo shoot or concert). Concert attire is full concert black, no white shirt.
Commitment *
I understand that by auditioning I am committing to all scheduled events (currently Oct 19; November 8-9; Dec 5-7; Feb 23, Apr 5; May 9; baccalaureate; and recruitment tour). I understand that this schedule is subject to change through the first week of classes, and that additional required performances may arise from time to time due to the nature of this special group.

I understand that due to the special nature of the group, Conservatory Choir typically implies a two-semester commitment, unless special circumstances apply (for example: graduating in the fall/student teaching in the spring, etc).

I understand that Conservatory Choir meets M/T/W/Th, 2pm-2:50pm and that I need to be registered for credit in a choral ensemble to participate.

I understand that I will need to change my registration to Shenandoah Chorus or Shenandoah Voices if I do not qualify for Conservatory Choir, and that I can audition again in a future semester.
Schedule Conflicts
*
Are you aware of any schedule conflicts? If so, what are they? Cnflicts can often be worked out with advance communication.
Large Choral Ensemble
If you are planning on enrolling in more than one choral ensemble (for example, Shenandoah Chorus and Conservatory Choir) and need the Large Choral Ensemble MUEN-320 option for credits, please respond here. You will be added to this course by Dr Robbins or Dr Ridgley.
Clear selection
Optional: Portugal GEL
*
I am interested in the optional performance opportunity to travel to Portugal in October (currently considering Oct 21-28). To participate, you would need to register for choir AND the GEL trip, and I understand an extra cost would be involved.
