For our main production we are setting up Rossum's Universal Robots by Karel Capek - the play that got cancelled by Covid! We see this as an opportunity to revive a very exiting project. The plan is to set up the play in February 2022. If you are an exchange student and leaving before then, this unfortunately means you cannot act in the main production - but worry not! There are still a bunch of roles to take part in before!
Rossum's Universal Robots, by the Czech playwright Karel Čapek is a three-act play with an epilogue. The play centers around R.U.R.—a company that makes robots. The play discusses slavery, playing God and the ethical dilemmas of capitalism. First performed in 1921, 100 years ago, it is as important today as is was 100 years ago.
Thank you again for getting involved in our project and we hope to meet you soon!
