Strategies for Effective and Inclusive CS Teaching Course - Interest Form
The University of Texas at Austin (UT) will be offering our revised Strategies for Effective and Inclusive Computer Science Teaching (Strategies) professional learning course for teachers in Fall 2023.

The Strategies course prepares teachers to create equitable and inclusive classroom environments so that all students, especially those from marginalized communities, build a sense of belonging and identity in CS. The course lasts 7 weeks. Each week, participants complete asynchronous prep work in Canvas and attend a 1-hour synchronous session.

The Strategies course can be led by UT facilitators or by individuals who participate in a facilitator training. Facilitator trainings prepare participants to offer the Strategies course to their own teachers. The trainings have the same time commitment and length as the Strategies course for teachers: They last 7 weeks. Each week, participants complete asynchronous prep work in Canvas and attend a 1-hour synchronous session.

See details about the course here: https://utakeit.tacc.utexas.edu/effective-strategies-V2/

We plan to host facilitator trainings in Fall 2023 and begin offering Strategies courses in Fall 2023. Please indicate below your interest in learning more about facilitator training opportunities and/or having UT facilitate the course for your teachers.
