All participating speakers must submit a speaker application form. In order for your name to appear in the final list of participants, your registration form must be received via email NO LATER THAN 11:59 PM ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2023.

All speakers are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
There are no honorarium for speakers, host, MC and/or moderator.

Black Leadership Summit Program Objectives:
The BOLD Foundation will provide a forum for Black Leaders and Professionals to:
  • Discuss key issues facing Black professionals 
  • Expand knowledge of emerging Black professions 
  • Build competencies to face challenges as Black professionals
  • Engage in the discourse concerning leadership in the Black community
  • Identify emerging issues related to Black professionals
Overall Goal: Driving a cultural transformation in Black businesses and leadership.

Proposal Acceptance
We will email notification of acceptance no later than September 15, 2023.

Proposal and Policy Guidelines
****Speakers proposals are evaluated objectively with emphasis on the following criteria listed in order of significance:
  • Degree to which the proposed session meets the conference/program objectives
  • Speaker's presentation skills and experience
  • Desirability of the topic
Proposal Application must contain and convey sufficient detail to allow our Conference Planning Committee to understand how the proposed session will support the conference objectives.

Honoraria
Our speakers receive a full complimentary conference registration with (1) complimentary ticket to the awards luncheon. Travel, lodging, meal expenses are your responsibility. 

We will consider no more than two proposals from each speaker. Please complete a separate application for each proposal. We will not consider incomplete submissions.

All presentations are in person, 45 minutes, and must include 15 minutes for questions.

Other suggestions can be emailed to boldfoundationinc@gmail.com for consideration. 
Describe your presentation and specify up to three expected learning outcomes for attendees using measurable action verbs. These outcomes should be tailored to the audience members. The maximum length is 300 words. *
Provide a brief description of the presentation. The max length is 60 words.

Tips to help create an effective description of your session:

*Highlight how the presentation will help an attendee solve a problem, overcome a challenge or launch a new initiative, and how what they learn will directly impact their work/life

*Create action-oriented learning objectives

*Set accurate expectations. Clearly describe what the session will cover and highlight the learning activities an attendee can expect.

*Avoid repeating the title in the description and phrases like "in this presentation" or "The presenters will."

Terms of Agreement

1. Organizers Obligations

The Organizer will give the Speaker the following benefits and/or accommodations:

Speaking Opportunity based on Organizer’s discretion or paid Sponsor Level

(1) Complimentary Ticket to the Black Leadership Summit

(1) Seating Priority 

Agenda/Program Acknowledgement 

Social Media Promotion (Facebook, Instagram)

Name on Website 

Name on Marketing and Promotional Materials

(2) Tickets to the BlackLuxe Picnic Festival


2. Speaker Obligations

The Speaker agrees to participate at the Black Leadership Summit on February 23, 2024 at the designated time on the Speaker Confirmed Letter. 


3. Speaker Trademarks and Materials

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the Speaker grants the Organizer the right to use the Speaker’s name, trade names, logo designs, trademarks, and company descriptions as provided in the Organizer’s marketing materials. These assets may be used in any medium of advertising, promotional products, or marketing materials distributed solely in connection with the Black Leadership Summit. The Organizer agrees to use materials according to Speakers written trademark usage guidelines.

The Speaker agrees to offer the following materials for marketing and promotional purposes no later than November 15, 2023:

4. Indemnity

4.1 The Speaker will indemnify, defend, and hold the Organizer harmless from and against any claims relating directly or indirectly to or arising out of, content posted on the Speaker's respective website, use of Organizer’s materials, or use of Organizer's logos and trademarks.

4.2 The Organizer will not be responsible for damage to or loss of property belonging to the Speaker, its employees, contractors, or agents or for personal injury to the Speaker's employees, contractors, agents, directors, or invitees except to the extent that claims may be solely and directly attributed to willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Organizer’s and Organizer's employers, directors, or officers.

5. Miscellaneous

5.1 This Agreement will supersede any or all prior oral or written forms of understanding between the Sponsor and Sponsee. This Agreement may not be amended or modified except when one or both parties execute amendments in writing and amendments are signed by both parties.

5.2 This Agreement shall be governed by and executed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida applicable to agreements made and to be performed entirely within this state.

5.3. The terms and conditions of this Agreement shall not be divulged to any third party without prior written approval from both parties.

In witness whereof, the Sponsee and Sponsor hereby agree to enter into this Agreement on the day and year first written above by affixing their respective signatures below.
