When improperly disposed, plastic can be fatal to animals who mistake it for food or become entangled in it. Plastic debris never fully goes away. Instead, it breaks down into tiny pieces called microplastic and remain in the environment forever. By choosing to refuse single-use plastic, you can lessen the amount of waste that enters our oceans and landfill every year.
Plastic Free Marianas (PFM) aims to provide resources and ideas to help individuals in the CNMI reduce single-use plastic waste at home, work, school, or even while on-the-go. If everyone makes a small change, we will collectively make a massive difference in our community.
To become a "Plastic-Free Partner" (PFP) please fill out the registration form below. DCRM will help you find the proper alternatives to single-use plastic in your establishment or school.
***By registering to become a PFP, you authorize DCRM the right to share and highlight your accomplishments on our website, newsletter, and other media outlets.
