Bring a man to school day - 21st June
The next Bring a Man to School Day will take place on Friday 21st June for Reception – Year 6. The purpose of the day is to give dads, granddads, uncles, etc, the opportunity to get involved in classroom and school activities, and to help raise awareness of the important role they play in early education. Previous events have been very successful with over 60 volunteers on each occasion coming into school during the course of the day.
Volunteers may be asked to help small groups of children with the activities planned by the teacher. The 'Bring a man to school day' is scheduled to coincide with Year’s 2-6 Sports Day, volunteers for those year groups can help us with time-keeping, etc. Teachers will plan in detail for the sessions, so it is important that we know numbers in advance. Depending on the level of response, it may be necessary to ask volunteers to come for certain sessions only. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate volunteers over lunchtime.
We are keen to involve dads, etc, in school on a regular basis. If you are unable to come on this occasion, or would like to come again, we hope that you will talk to class teachers about coming at another time.
Please complete the form by Thursday 14th June.
